A letter from the founders.
Why three best friends decided to change test prep forever.
Warren Li, Aniket Nayak, and Arun Khemani—longtime childhood friends—came together to found crackd with one mission: make test prep simple, engaging and affordable for every single student. They started in April 2024, and after tutoring 100s of students for free, developing their platform, and improving their service, crackd launched Aug 2024.
Test prep is expensive. The average cost of SAT® tutoring in our area is $70/hr. It's not at all uncommon for parents to be spending $150/hr or $2,500 on prep.
You don't need to overpay to get a good score. Aniket got a perfect score on the ACT and his friends also scored in the top 1% by self-studying. Based on the study methods we used to achieve our scores, we built crackd.
Don't over-complicate studying for these exams. Many students and parents go searching for a “new strategy”, but the answer is straightforward—a simple study plan, dedication, and someone to hold you accountable. This is the core of what we accomplish with each of our students.
Learn from tutors and peers. We want to make sure each student has access to a top-scoring tutor and a community of students all with the same goal–crack the SAT®.
These tests are more important now than ever. Universities are reinstating requirements for the SAT®, and a good score increases your chances of standing out from the pool of applicants. Average SAT® score for a T20 college is 1500.
Your goals are our goals too.
The team.
